What is Glaucoma? How is it treated?
Glaucoma is a condition in which the fluid balance in the eye is disturbed, resulting in increased pressure in the eye and damage to the optic nerve. Glaucoma can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss.
Glaucoma is usually asymptomatic and difficult to recognize when it progresses. However, in progressive cases; symptoms such as narrowing of the visual field, headache, eye pain, redness in the eye may occur.
